Income tax assistance:
Federal and State tax assistance by A.A.R.P.
Every Tuesday, starting February 7th - 9:00am - 12:30pm.
An appointment is required - call Gloria Majeski at 440-918-8730 to schedule.
City Income tax assistance by R.I.T.A.
One day only - Monday March 12th 3:00pm to 7:00pm - at City Hall.
No appointment necessary - just come in.
The Finance Department oversees all of the City's financial matters. It's responsibilities include budgeting, the management of appropriations, expenditures, taxation, and assessments, along with handling all incoming and outgoing cash and checks.
Mr. Frank Brichacek is the Finance Director and the Assistant Finance Director is Ms. Debbie Doles. The public counter at the Finance Department is staffed by Ms. Janeen Mullin and Diana McCann.
The staff of the finance department is willing and able to assist residents with any city-related financial matter whenever possible.

FRANK BRICHACEK,
FINANCE DIRECTOR
Mr. Brichacek moved from the position of Special Auditor to Finance Director in January, 2011. He has an extensive amount of municipal finance experience and formerly held positions as a State Examiner in the Municipal Division of the State Auditor's Office, Assistant Finance Director for the City of Cleveland Heights, and Finance Director for the City of Shaker Heights. He is also a member of he R.I.T.A. Board of Directors, the Government Finance Officers Association, and the Municipal Finance Officers Association of
Northeastern Ohio. |

DEBRA DOLES,
ASST. FINANCE DIRECTOR
Ms. Doles was hired as the City's
Tax Administrator in 2007 and was
promoted to the position of
Assistant Finance Director in 2008.

FINANCE ASSISTANT
The finance assistant handles the issuance of purchase orders and other financial-related duties. In addition to working in the Finance Department, she also serves as the city's primary telephone operator and attendant to the public counter at City Hall.

FUNCTIONS OF THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT:
1. Responsible for the handling and tracking of all incoming and outgoing monies
in city accounts.
2. Manages all purchases and expenditures made by the city.
3. Pays and collects all taxes paid or received by the city.
4. Performs financial planning and reporting for the city, including the development
of budgets and financial reports.
5. Ensures compliance with all financial-related obligations to the State and
County Auditors.
