The Cleveland Color Run rocks in Willoughby Hills

On Saturday, June 8th, over 8000 runners and hundreds of volunteers came together for a day of fun and activities.  In addition to bringing business to the City's merchants, the event helped raise funds for the City's Corn Fest and recreation programs, as well as for civic organizations, such as the Willoughby Hills Lions Club.  The 5K race (or walk) traveled from the entrance to the Shops of Willoughby Hills on Bishop Road to Chardon Road, East to Rockefeller, North to Eddy, West back to Bishop, and South back to the Shops of Willoughby Hills where a post-race party was held.  Along the way, runners were doused with colored bio-degradable corn starch at four different locations.  These locations were staffed by volunteers that raised monies for their respective charities.  The participants, albeit covered in various colors when done, had a great time and are looking forward to the next run, scheduled for September, 21, 2013.   For information on the next Color Run, see http://thecolorrun.com/cleveland-fall/?gclid=CPeVxeGj37cCFWJlMgodsVwAVA#race_info
